Celebration of Life for Rick Berry

There will be a Celebration of Life for member Rick Berry on Saturday March 3rd from 1 to 4 pm at the Berry Garage and Museum.

J. Richard Berry died on Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 at Bayhealth/Kent General Hospital in Dover. Born and raised in Easton, Md., he resided in Dover for 52 years.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, Gertrude and Leland (L.F.) Berry. Rick was the beloved and devoted husband to Lindy Berry; devoted father and grandfather to son, Kevin Berry and his three children Brayden, Gage, and Jaxson Berry; daughter, Kathy Harmon and son-in-law Daniel and their three children Cortland, Daniel, and Ravyn; beloved brother to Leland and sister-in-law Diana Berry; sister, Susan and brother-in-law Richard Clark; and brother-in-law, Richard Merriman; devoted uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He was self employed for Berry Van Lines for 52 plus years. He spent four years in the Air Force. He was a founding member of The First State Corvette Club and life member of Ducks Unlimited and National Corvette Museum.

If he wasn't spending time with his family, he was spending time with his Corvettes and Corvette Club; his wife Linda always by his side. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and the many others he impacted along the way. Those that knew him well, knew that behind that stubborn rough exterior was a sweet caring family man with a passion for the things he believed in.

Services with the family will be private.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the First State Corvette Club Scholarship Fund to P.O. Box 275, Camden, DE 19934.

Arrangements are being made with Pippin Funeral Home in Wyoming. Share a memory at www.pippinfuneralhome.com
